L’Initial celebrates its first anniversary!
On February 6, more than 250 people attended a nautical-themed soirée to celebrate the first anniversary of Le Groupe Maurice residence L’Initial. For the festivities, the residence was transformed into a charming cruise ship.
On February 1, 2019, L’Initial first opened its doors, offering local seniors a flexible and inspiring retirement lifestyle firmly anchored in the community. One year later, Le Groupe Maurice, the 50 employees at L’Initial and Olivier Picard, the residence’s general manager, continue to uphold this commitment to residents’ happiness and well-being.
“For me, this event is about thanking everyone who contributes to making this such a great place to live: our employees, local partners and, especially, the residents. Without you, L’Initial would not be the pleasant and dynamic living environment it is today. It has been a year full of learning for all of us, a year in which we got to share special moments with incredible people. I am truly fortunate to be at the helm of this amazing ship, and I sincerely hope that we will share many more moments of joy and celebration for many years to come!” said Olivier Picard.
Residents, local dignitaries and members of the L’Initial crew clinked wine glasses as they admired the original decorations put up by a team of devoted and talented volunteers. Attendees were full of praise for the nautical decor, which would not have looked out of place on the most majestic vessels!
They were also treated to a delicious meal served in the residence’s dining room, accompanied by a musical performance by band La tournée du bonheur. Before the night’s festivities concluded, the guests did not hesitate to hit the dance floor.
