Two key appointments to Le Groupe Maurice’s management team
Some 20 years ago, Le Groupe Maurice made a promise to seniors across Quebec: to ensure that their retirement years would uphold the principles of liberty, continuity, choice and well-being. At the same time, the company vowed to provide warm and inviting living environments designed to meet seniors’ aspirations while anticipating the needs of future generations.
With a view to remaining relevant, ethically engaged and forward-thinking, Le Groupe Maurice recently appointed two high-calibre individuals to its management team: Hugues Jacquin, Chief Financial Officer, and Francis Gagnon, Vice-President, Real Estate Development.
Despite the current pandemic, the company’s mission remains unchanged. In light of the crisis and its various consequences, we are even more convinced of the relevance of our core mission. Indeed, we are fully committed to helping all Quebecers to “age better”. The pandemic has also underscored the strengths and weaknesses of provincial services for seniors. Now more than ever, we are seeking to boost our rate of growth. The need for development is obvious.
Against that backdrop, we are extending a warm welcome to Hugues Jacquin and Francis Gagnon. “Our commitment to better aging is deeper than ever,” said Luc Maurice, President of Le Groupe Maurice. “These significant additions to our management team are a testament to our desire to ensure that others will benefit from our company’s expertise. They also reflect our intention to deepen our understanding and to be better positioned during debates about our aging population.”
“We need everyone’s help to improve the future of our society.”
Luc Maurice, President, Le Groupe Maurice
This deep-seated desire to boost people’s quality of life is matched by the company’s firm belief that the smallest gesture counts; every member of society has the power and ability to come up with solutions to the major social issues we face. “I am very pleased to be able to count on these two highly-rated managers, along with our workforce of 2,200 dedicated and passionate men and women at Le Groupe Maurice, all striving to implement a shared vision and a mission based on caring. In this way, each of us is able to contribute to the well-being of Quebec’s seniors.”
Hugues Jacquin, Chief Financial Officer
With some 25 years of experience overseeing the finances of large corporations, Mr. Jacquin is renowned for his business acumen and his in-depth knowledge of the Canadian and international markets. “I think society’s perception of seniors is set to change over the next 10 years, and we have a role to play in that regard," he said. Mr. Jacquin’s international experience will enable the company to expand its horizons while enhancing its organizational practices.
Francis Gagnon, Vice-President, Real Estate Development
After more than 25 years in executive positions in Canada and the US, Mr. Gagnon is pleased to be returning to Quebec and to be joining a company whose fundamental values he shares. “Quebec is setting the standard for private seniors residences," he noted. Mr. Gagnon has extensive experience in the private senior residential sector and welcomes Le Groupe Maurice’s responsiveness towards its clients.
