{"id":10370,"date":"2022-02-23T15:37:15","date_gmt":"2022-02-23T20:37:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.legroupemaurice.com\/?p=10370"},"modified":"2025-03-13T10:53:11","modified_gmt":"2025-03-13T14:53:11","slug":"annual-report-of-the-luc-maurice-foundation-still-as-human-as-ever","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.legroupemaurice.com\/en\/articles\/annual-report-of-the-luc-maurice-foundation-still-as-human-as-ever\/","title":{"rendered":"Annual report of the Luc Maurice Foundation: still as human as ever"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The Luc Maurice Foundation publishes its 4th Annual Report in the spirit of hope and continuity, to build a Quebec in which healthy aging is a rule\/reality, not an exception. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2>A year in the field<\/h2>\n<p>For the Luc Maurice Foundation, the year\u00a02021, with all its challenges, was marked by the accomplishment of concrete initiatives to make a positive difference.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u201cIn 2021, we were heavily invested in getting community organizations involved in promoting healthy aging back on track, and we participated in a number of promising projects. The year\u00a02021 and its accomplishments mark the 4th year of a legacy that we intend to grow for a very long time.\u201d \u2014 Matias Duque, Director of the Luc Maurice Foundation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Foundation supports the Le\u00a016 project, which seeks to test various technologies in order to create intelligent residences that will allow seniors to remain in their homes as long as they want. Testing has begun at the Berthiaume-Du\u00a0Tremblay residence. The Foundation also continued its traditional preparation and distribution of Christmas meals. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.legroupemaurice.com\/en\/news\/luc-maurice-foundation-thousands-of-meals-for-quebec-seniors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">A total of 5,500 meals were distributed this year, 1,100 more than in 2020.<\/a> We\u2019re set on breaking that record in 2022!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Rewarding employee generosity<\/h2>\n<p>Thanks to the matching program set up by the Luc Maurice Foundation and Le Groupe Maurice to encourage philanthropy and generosity, 28 additional donations were made to organizations supported by Le Groupe Maurice employees, whose donations were matched by the Foundation. The Foundation will focus on three key factors that help seniors age well: health, socialization and recognition\/self-worth. The Foundation also seeks to contribute to the development of philanthropy in Quebec.
