Finally, we look at two plants whose ingenious use by indigenous peoples changed the world: cocoa and tobacco.

The film also tells a completely different story, that of the small archipelagos emerging along the coast, influenced more by England and freebooters than by Spain. Roatan and Utila, the most-visited islands, have a little-known past and an underwater world that captivates researchers from all over the world.
