This predominantly Buddhist country in Southeast Asia shares borders with Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, and Malaysia, making it the gateway to Asia par excellence.

Thailand is a kaleidoscope of cultures, colored by waves of immigration from neighboring countries. Thailand, or Muang Thai, means “Land of Free Men.” This mecca of tolerance, a welcoming land for many tribes, can boast of never having been colonized.

Set off to meet the different peoples who make up this unique mosaic and revel in these magnificent, dreamlike landscapes. The kindness—one of the foundations of Thai culture—and the smiling inhabitants are sure to charm you. Let yourself be enchanted by the many treasures to be discovered in the land of smiles!

Canasta is a card game originating in Uruguay that is usually played by four players in teams of two, with two decks of cards and jokers. The objective is to score points by creating “combinations” of seven or more cards of the same value (canastas) and discarding cards to get rid of your hand. The game ends when one of the teams reaches a total of 5,000 points, and requires the formation of at least one canasta in order to “go out.”
