Some words are spoken often… and some phrases are felt deeply. This one is among them. It holds within itself everything we’ve built together this year: a community that chooses itself, supports itself, rises back up… and continues, no matter what, to steadfastly believe in humankind.
With the Holidays drawing near, it’s time to ease the pace, to take a breath that’s just a bit deeper than usual. To look up from daily life, take in our surroundings and appreciate what we’ve built – each of us, and all of us together.
I want to sincerely thank you for everything you do: your constant efforts, your initiatives, your contributions and all the good intentions you bring to life. You make the extraordinary possible… and even more extraordinary, is who you are!

At the office, I don’t just see ideas sparking, projects moving forward and successes piling up. I see colleagues thinking, collaborating, supporting one another and celebrating. I notice knowing glances, the passion flowing from one room to another… but above all, I hear those bursts of laughter – spontaneous and genuine – and that’s what I love most, because they reflect the spirit of collaboration that unites us.
Here, innovation grows shoulder to shoulder, with heart and intention. Thanks to you and the way you work together, our goals take shape while keeping the human warmth that defines our mission. You show that an organization can strive for excellence and remain profoundly human.
Each time I step into our residences, I see that same energy: the camaraderie across teams, the honest smiles lighting up the corridors, and that effortless instinct to support one another, to offer help without hesitation, no matter the hurdles or challenges we face.
Dear colleagues, you are the creators of the genuine connections woven among teams, residents and families. You do more than care – you truly engage. Thanks to you, our residences are communities where each person counts, feels recognized and included, and where the essence of humanity emerges equally in ordinary deeds and in profound acts of dedication. You show that respect, mutual support and compassion will never cease to matter.
And then there are you, cherished residents. Your strength, your wit and your commitment inspire us daily. Builders of traditions, carriers of purpose, the real engines of our communities, you show us that time is no obstacle to shine, contribute and continue reshaping the world.
Through my visits and our meaningful exchanges, I observe your vitality, your leadership and the enthusiasm with which you navigate aging on your own terms. And what about your volunteer efforts, which breathes life and adds a unique vibrancy to the activities in the residence? Through your presence and generosity, you enrich our communities… your communities. You are living proof that personal growth never ends and that life can be fully enjoyed at every stage.
Thanks to every one of you, Le Groupe Maurice is not merely a group of residences. Our communities stand as genuine strongholds of humanity: spaces where the strength of the collective is still valued, where dignity is a matter of course and where cooperation is lived out daily.
Through what you bring, you contribute to a unique community, where every small gesture, every laugh, every shared moment adds up to create great happiness. After all, great happiness is nothing more than a multitude of small moments of warmth and joy that we choose not to let slip away. And if I feel so proud again this year, it’s because you have made that choice: this great happiness is your work! During the holidays, we often search for the perfect gift – the one that will delight or leave a lasting impression. But what if the most precious gift is simply being present, attentive and kind? That is, in fact, what each of you gives every day. And it is ultimately what makes us undeniably different.
