One-year anniversary for the Cornelius residence!

Cornelius opened its doors a year ago! To celebrate its first anniversary, the residence team decided to mark the occasion with a blue ocean and shellfish-themed party. Cornelius is off to a great start!
Ocean theme anniversary
Whether it’s for an individual, a couple, a company, or a retirement residence, the first anniversary is a milestone! To celebrate the event in style, Cornelius decked itself out in its finest and immersed its residents in a marine atmosphere, populated by a myriad of small fish and other sea creatures. White sand was even brought in especially for the evening to complete the decor!
“Everyone on the Cornelius team was looking forward to this anniversary. We’ve gone all out to ensure that everything is just what the residents like. It’s a privilege to be with them every day and to celebrate our first year together! This is only the beginning,” says Olivier Tibika, general manager of Cornelius.
Drawn by the stream of happiness that flowed throughout the residence, Cornelius seniors were able to thoroughly enjoy this wonderful evening, admiring the aquatic decorations specially created for the occasion and taking a few dance steps on the dance floor. The evening began with a cocktail, followed by a delicious anniversary dinner and dancing, hosted by the retro acoustic group Les Mémorables! Members of Le Groupe Maurice Board of Directors were even in attendance to celebrate the event with the residents!
“I’m very happy with my apartment. I have lunch and supper every day at the residence, and we eat very well. I never miss the special evenings, because they’re always beautifully organized, with memorable themes. I love taking part in all the activities,” says Cornelius resident Mariette Gélinas.
“We have a lovely group of people at the Cornelius residence. I’m very happy to live with such a genuine, honest individuals. It’s a wonderful organization and I feel at home here, perfectly in my element,” adds Monique Cléroux Peterson, also a resident.
