SPVM cadets will be joining us on August 11th for an evening of outdoor games and socializing.

This improvisation and theatre activity invites seniors to explore their creativity through simple, fun, and accessible games, including mime exercises such as the popular “boulette” game. Participants are encouraged to move, imagine, and interpret various situations, individually or in groups, in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere. The goal is to stimulate memory, encourage self‑expression, and foster interaction among participants while sharing moments of laughter and spontaneity. Suitable for all levels, this activity helps build confidence and offers an enjoyable, engaging artistic experience.

The cost of the activity is $15.00, which covers a delicious boxed lunch carefully prepared by Chef Emmanuel and his team.

We will leave the residence at approximately 11:15 a.m. and walk together to Guy's Wave to enjoy a relaxing picnic outdoors.

Rummikub is a game of colored tile placement for 2 to 4 players, requiring concentration and logic.

The bolas game is a friendly outdoor activity based on skill and precision. Players throw bolas—two small balls connected by a cord—toward a stand made of several horizontal bars. The goal is to wrap the bola around one of the bars to score as many points as possible. Easy to understand and suitable for all ages, the game encourages accuracy while creating a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere.

Players, in teams, throw metal balls toward a small wooden target ball called the “cochonnet,” aiming to get as close to it as possible. Each throw requires precision and strategy, whether gently placing a ball or shooting to move an opponent’s. Easy to learn and suitable for all ages, pétanque encourages social interaction, relaxation, and a sense of camaraderie. It’s a simple, welcoming activity that brings people together and helps strengthen community bonds.
