A New Monthly Activity at the Liz!
Each month, a thought-provoking documentary will be screened in the cinema, followed by a lively discussion. This monthly event is organized by two of our residents: Lorna Roth and Adam Symansky. The first screening will be held on Wednesday, June 18 at 2 p.m., with a replay at 7 p.m., in the cinema. We’ll be showing “A License to Remember: Je me souviens”, a quirky, thoughtful, and provocative documentary from the National Film Board. In the film, director Thierry Le Brun, a newcomer to Quebec, travels across the province to discover what the slogan "Je me souviens" truly means to Quebecers. Along the way, he meets a host of characters — both famous and unknown — with widely varying views."Je me souviens" becomes a Rorschach inkblot, with each person projecting their own interpretation — reflecting the diverse concerns and identities that make up Quebec. The film is in English with French subtitles.

For those looking to learn French skills, the courses will start on April 03 and will be held every Thursday from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM in the activity room. The course is free, but a $14.69 fee for the activity book will be requested. Please note that the course is fully booked for January, and no further registrations are available. Technology Workshop - New Format
We would like to inform you that starting in March, we are making changes to our IT workshops. We have changed providers, and an IT specialist, Mr. Gilles Welferinger, will now be available to offer IT troubleshooting. These sessions will take place every two Friday evening from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM for an initial period of 3 months. You can bring your tablets, computers, or phones to get help with any technical issues you may encounter.
Important: These sessions will be available in both French and English, and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. No pre-registration is necessary. Mr. Welferinger will assist as many people as he can each Friday, depending on time available. If you are not assisted during the first session, you will have the opportunity to receive help during the following session, which will take place in two weeks. The first two sessions will be on March 14 and March 28 from 7:00 PM to 8:30 PM. Please note that the Wednesday IT workshops are cancelled and replaced by these troubleshooting sessions. We hope this new format meets your needs. Feel free to bring your devices for any help you require.
