Annual report of the Luc Maurice Foundation:
still as human as ever

|Luc Maurice Foundation

The Luc Maurice Foundation publishes its 4th Annual Report in the spirit of hope and continuity, to build a Quebec in which healthy aging is a rule/reality, not an exception.

A year in the field

For the Luc Maurice Foundation, the year 2021, with all its challenges, was marked by the accomplishment of concrete initiatives to make a positive difference.

“In 2021, we were heavily invested in getting community organizations involved in promoting healthy aging back on track, and we participated in a number of promising projects. The year 2021 and its accomplishments mark the 4th year of a legacy that we intend to grow for a very long time.” — Matias Duque, Director of the Luc Maurice Foundation.

The Foundation supports the Le 16 project, which seeks to test various technologies in order to create intelligent residences that will allow seniors to remain in their homes as long as they want. Testing has begun at the Berthiaume-Du Tremblay residence. The Foundation also continued its traditional preparation and distribution of Christmas meals. A total of 5,500 meals were distributed this year, 1,100 more than in 2020. We’re set on breaking that record in 2022!

Rewarding employee generosity

Thanks to the matching program set up by the Luc Maurice Foundation and Le Groupe Maurice to encourage philanthropy and generosity, 28 additional donations were made to organizations supported by Le Groupe Maurice employees, whose donations were matched by the Foundation. We are pleased to see that the popularity of this program continues to grow year after year.

About the Foundation

The Luc Maurice Foundation is committed to supporting organizations and causes that contribute to Quebec seniors’ well-being and fulfillment by promoting their freedom to act and think. The Foundation will focus on three key factors that help seniors age well: health, socialization and recognition/self-worth.
