The Cibèle Residence and Le Groupe Maurice: Warming hearts
Dressed in a splash of red and with arms filled with non-perishable goods, some 400 attendees gathered at the Saint-Hyacinthe Convention Centre to participate in Frédérick De Grandpré’s ‘Major Jazz’ Concert. Presented by the Cibèle team, this festive gathering not only warmed the hearts of the guests, but also those of many in the region who will now have enough to eat; thanks to the 276 kilograms of supplies and monetary donations provided to La Moisson Maskoutaine.
The concert was also exclusively available through a live broadcast to residents of Le Groupe Maurice’s complexes. Adorned as well in a splash of red, they gathered in anticipation to immerse themselves in the festive spirit – and perhaps even indulge in a few dance steps…
Indeed, it was Christmas ahead of time! Moreover, Le Groupe Maurice is no stranger to its involvement in the region. Since the announcement of its arrival in Saint-Hyacinthe, with the Cibèle project set to welcome its first residents in the fall of 2024, the Groupe has been providing significant support to numerous organizations. It’s impossible to overlook the contribution from the Luc Maurice Foundation, which in turn has participated in various initiatives in the sector. More recently, the Foundation had the privilege of being the official presenter of the lighting of the grand Christmas tree at the Hôtel-Dieu de Saint-Hyacinthe, a magical event that raised over $17,200 for the Aline-Letendre Foundation.
The mission of Le Groupe Maurice, which is to create human living environments where the elderly feel safe, free, independent, happy and engaged, is an extension of what we aim to bring to the community. We believe that unity is strength, and that’s why we try as often as possible to inject a good dose of happiness into the hearts of those we encounter. This is achieved through various initiatives aimed at making a meaningful difference in the communities that welcome us and by supporting organizations or businesses that share our values!
— Louis Desjardins, Director of New Markets and Marketing, Le Groupe Maurice.
In these times of celebration and sharing, the generosity of the Cibèle team and the people who responded to its call, truly warms our hearts. The amount of provisions collected exceeds our expectations and will certainly enable us to broaden our mission to an even greater number of individuals in need. We are sincerely grateful for this!
— Caroline Richard, General Manager, La Moisson Maskoutaine.
