The Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra celebrates Finnish music — with Jorma Panula, Maximilian Fagerlund and Iris Candelaria

For the 160th anniversary of Jean Sibelius, the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra brings together an outstanding Finnish lineup to celebrate his legacy and that of his successors.

Under the direction of Jorma Panula, the program highlights works by Rautavaara and Klami, as well as a selection of Sibelius songs performed by soprano Iris Candelaria. Maximilian Fagerlund also conducts Beneath by his father Sebastian Fagerlund, a contemporary work for violin and orchestra.
