La Croisée de l’Est looks pretty in pink as the residence celebrates its 10th anniversary
Nearly 320 people attended the Pink Ball organized by Le Groupe Maurice’s La Croisée de l’Est residence in celebration of its 10th anniversary.
A team committed to community action
First opened in December 2009, La Croisée de l’Est has become a vital part of the Granby community. It has been actively involved in the local community for several years now. Between 2014 and 2019, it raised over $18,000 for local organizations such as the Louis-Philippe Janvier Foundation.
Richard Asselin, the residence’s general manager, is committed to bringing the community together in a festive spirit and shares his passion for service with the residence’s devoted and compassionate employees, two of which have been directly involved in the lives of residents since the complex opened in 2009.
Richard Asselin expressed his gratitude with the following words: “Ten years ago, the residence opened its doors to offer seniors from the region an outstanding retirement experience. Today, La Croisée de l’Est looks back at 10 years of building strong community involvement, creating jobs in the region and contributing to the happiness and wellbeing of Granby’s retirees. And of course, I must acknowledge the valuable contributions by the 320 residents and their families, my team of dynamic professionals and our loyal partners in making La Croisée de l’Est an incredible place to live. Thank you all!”
Pretty in pink for its 10th anniversary
Attendees to the 10th anniversary included Luc Maurice (President of Le Groupe Maurice), Marie-Claude Delisle (liaison officer for the Granby mayor’s office), Robert Riel (Deputy Mayor of Granby) Suzanne Surette (Director of the Granby Hospital Foundation) and members of the residence’s staff.
At dinnertime, the guests were treated to a musical program presented by Carl Gauthier and delectable dishes prepared by chef Camille Roy, complemented by a surprise “all pink” dessert that delighted the taste buds. The festive occasion continued into the evening with a marvellous performance by Chantal Pary.
