Le Groupe Maurice sets the tone with I Musici
We’re very pleased to announce that Le Groupe Maurice has partnered up with I Musici, a chamber orchestra that offers a unique musical experience to 10,000 people each year through its bold and innovative vision of classical music.
In harmony with our values
The philosopher Immanuel Kant once said that music is the language of emotions. Music is a gift of life and an art that we can all share. Chamber orchestra I Musici de Montréal is committed to fulfilling this mission every year by promoting access to music across diverse communities.
Founded in 1983 by Yuli Turovsky, I Musici are 15 talented string musicians with a varied repertoire spanning the 17th century to today. This vibrant and passionate orchestra actively promotes classical music through cultural activities aimed at young people, seniors and the less fortunate.
With their extraordinary technique and an energy that brings people together, l Musici contribute to the development of the next generation of musicians and the creation of contemporary works through concerts, a mentorship program and the I Musici Challenge. And they’re not afraid to innovate and challenge the strict codes of classical music. This spirit of innovation is one we share at Le Groupe Maurice.
Like us, the l Musici orchestra places great importance on leading the way and showing solidarity. The organization works tirelessly to fight social isolation, promote access to music and build connections between people in the community. And they do it with their own personal creative touch—not unlike Le Groupe Maurice!
A well orchestrated program
This inclusive vision and involvement with the seniors’ community make us proud to team up with I Musici. Our partnership is an ideal opportunity to share our passion for music and bring this art form to the many music lovers living at Le Groupe Maurice residences.
As part of the partnership, which consists of 2 distinct components, the orchestra will present its 2022-2023 season, titled Amazing Journeys. Le Groupe Maurice residences will get access to an incredible program as well as cultural outreach activities and music workshops. Music lovers stay tuned!
